Ralph is one of those guys who gives, is positive and doesn’t let live beat him down. He takes care to have enough free time with is wife and son to enjoy life fully. They just spend 3 months in Costa Rica this winter…. I’ve known him for a long time, and if I remember correctly, about 10 years ago he and his brother Paul founded Dreams. It was a skate shop, an idea, concept, vision, give it a name, and now there is this really cool Dreams community of fun and creative people who do amazing things. They organize all sorts of events, trips, and anything they can think off. There is the Dreams Surf School, Dreams Creative and Relasha. Ralph is always thinking about new things they can do. Some more crazy than others, but always fun. Every sunday he takes a few local skate kids, and they go skate somewhere. This could be local, but I once joined them on a trip to Eindhoven. Just giving the kids a good time, showing them new places.
We don’t see each other that often though he lives down the street from the studio. But at the end of this month we will get together at what is going to be a great weekend! The Weekend Of The Vans. I can’t wait!
Shot in a dark alley with light coming in from behind Ralph. Great lighting on a grey overcast day if you find the right spot. Nikon D300 50mm 1.4. Silver Efex Pro for the black and white conversion
